Return from Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound or the region’s renowned walking tracks to soak in your own private hot tub, prepare a relaxed meal in your kitchen or kitchenette, and dine outdoors while taking in the mountain views. Eco-Villa guests can also enjoy the shared wood-fired sauna (from late December 2026 onwards), adding another layer of relaxation to the experience.

Fiordland Eco-Retreat is the result of Susanna and Glen’s shared vision to create a peaceful, environmentally conscious retreat where guests can experience the very best of Fiordland. Every decision – from the accommodation design to our sustainability initiatives and guest experience – has been guided by that vision.
Glen has spent his career with the Department of Conservation, working to protect some of New Zealand’s precious native species, while Susanna brings her background in sustainability and business to every aspect of the guest experience.
We welcomed our first guests in November 2018 and have loved sharing this special part of Fiordland with visitors from around the world ever since. Their feedback, stories and experiences have helped us continually improve, while staying true to our goal of creating thoughtful, sustainable accommodation where guests feel genuinely cared for.
