Wood-fired Sauna Lighting Service

Enjoy the convenience of having the wood-fired sauna prepared for you. Guests are welcome to light and manage the sauna themselves at no additional charge, or let us take care of the fire preparation, lighting and tending so that you can simply turn up and enjoy a beautifully heated sauna.
Includes: We will prepare, light and tend the sauna fire for approximately 45 minutes before your scheduled arrival time, until it reaches a suitable temperature for your enjoyment. Once the sauna is ready, we leave you to enjoy your session privately. If the sauna requires additional wood during your session, or you wish to extend your session or have a second session, you can tend the fire yourself in accordance with our sauna operating instructions.

All package prices are indicative and subject to availability. As many experiences are operated by trusted third-party providers, prices may change without notice.
Package pricing that includes accommodation is based on our lowest available nightly rate for dates when the selected experience is operating. Final pricing will vary depending on your travel dates, accommodation availability and any optional extras you choose.
Our package prices include any applicable third-party booking or administration fees, so there are no additional booking charges when reserving your accommodation and experiences through Fiordland Eco-Retreat.
Cancellation Policy
Our standard accommodation cancellation policy applies unless your package includes third-party experiences. Many activity operators have their own cancellation terms and deadlines, which will apply to the relevant experience(s) within your package. We will advise you of any applicable third-party cancellation policies before your booking is confirmed.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all guests take out comprehensive travel insurance. This can provide cover for unforeseen cancellations, travel delays, illness, weather-related disruptions and any cancellation charges imposed by third-party activity operators.
