Overview
Fiordland Eco-Retreat is luxury self-catered accommodation in Te Anau, New Zealand. It is a ‘Qualmark 5-star Gold‘ holiday house, attached to our family home. Being self-contained and private, you will have the entire guest suite to yourselves, with your own external access.

Bedrooms
The two main bedrooms (one with a super-king bed and one with a queen bed) both benefit from spectacular northerly views of Lake Te Anau and the Fiordland mountains. They also have ranch-sliding doors leading onto large decks, along with satellite televisions, ceiling fans and ducted air conditioning / heating.
The single bedroom at the back of the house can be set up as a twin bedroom by request, and has a view of the back garden. It also has ducted air conditioning / heating if desired.

The retreat’s outside space displays its stunning, unobstructed 260° panoramic view in all of its glory.
The hot tub and heated outside shower allow for pure relaxation, and are perfect for soothing away any muscle aches and pains, or for simply taking in the incredible views.
The outside dining area is conveniently located just beside the kitchenette, and includes an outdoor dining table and BBQ, leading onto a large, flat lawn.
Beautiful native plants add to the natural landscape, and the adjoining paddock is often grazed by horses from ‘Westray Horse Treks‘, which is located just next door.
A private parking area next to the accommodation provides space for multiple cars.
The area boasts minimal light pollution for enjoying the stunning night sky.
“We mainly came to New Zealand to explore the country, but staying in this home turned into a highlight of our trip. The main bedrooms have large glass doors that open to incredible views in all directions and other design touches that will make you never want to leave. The space has beautiful high quality finishes and the best shower and bath any of us have ever used. A great launching point for seeing Milford Sound, but make sure you leave enough time to enjoy the home as well!”
