- Four nights’ luxury accommodation at Fiordland Eco-Retreat.
- Day 1: Guided half-day walk to Giant Gate Waterfall on the world-famous Milford Track, followed by a scenic Milford Sound cruise.
- Day 2: Your choice of a guided kayaking experience in Doubtful Sound, or a scenic Doubtful Sound cruise.
- Day 3: A 1.5-hour scenic helicopter flight through the spectacular landscapes of Doubtful and Dusky Sounds, including a gourmet charcuterie board at one of your scenic landings.
- Private cedar hot tub throughout your stay.

Memorable Evenings
Your three adventure days leave your evenings free to relax and enjoy Fiordland at a slower pace. You can choose to add one or more of the following experiences to your itinerary:
- Te Anau Glow-worm caves,
- A champagne evening cruise on Lake Te Anau, aboard a beautifully-restored historic vessel,
- A small-group guided stargazing experience.
These optional evening experiences can be arranged around your main itinerary, subject to availability.
Your Fiordland Adventure
Day 1: Earth & Sea
Walk the Legendary Milford Track & Cruise Milford Sound.
Begin your Fiordland adventure with a full-day experience into the heart of the region, combining a guided walk on the world-famous Milford Track with a scenic cruise through Milford Sound.
Start the day bright and early with a scenic drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound. from here, take a short water taxi to Sandfly Point, the starting point for your guided walk along the Milford Track.
Follow the track alongside the cascading Arthur River through lush native rainforest, continuing to Giant Gate Waterfall. This spectacular waterfall is best viewed from the swing bridge spanning the river. The track is well formed and relatively flat, although some sections can be rough underfoot.
After your walk, return to Milford Sound and board your scenic cruise. Cruise the full length of the fiord, taking in the grandeur of Mitre Peak, towering mountains, cascading waterfalls and the abundant wildlife that calls Milford Sound home.
Following your cruise, travel back to Te Anau by road and return to the comfort of Fiordland Eco-Retreat after an unforgettable day exploring Fiordland on foot and from the water.
Optional evening experience: Add a visit to the Te Anau Glow-worm Caves, where you can discover thousands of tiny lights illuminating the darkness beneath the earth.
Day 2: Sea
Discover the Wilderness of Doubtful Sound.
Today, venture deeper into Fiordland with your choice of two unforgettable experiences.
Guided Doubtful Sound Kayaking
Paddle through the tranquil wilderness of Doubtful Sound beneath towering cliffs, surrounded by ancient native rainforest, waterfalls and abundant wildlife.
Kayaking offers an intimate way to experience the remarkable stillness and scale of this remote environment, allowing you to explore the waterways at a slower pace and from close to the water.

Doubtful Sound Scenic Cruise
Travel deep into Doubtful Sound by boat and experience one of Fiordland’s most remote and spectacular waterways.
As you travel through the fiord, take in dramatic mountains, cascading waterfalls, hidden waterways and untouched wilderness. With very few roads and no permanent settlements, Doubtful Sound offers an extraordinary sense of remoteness.
Whichever experience you choose, today reveals a quieter and more secluded side of Fiordland.
Optional evening experience: Spend an evening on Lake Te Anau aboard a beautifully restored historic vessel. Enjoy a glass of champagne as you cruise across the vast waters of New Zealand’s largest lake and take in the surrounding mountains.
Day 3: Sky
Experience Fiordland from Above.
Complete your adventure with one of the most spectacular ways to experience Fiordland: a 1.5 hour scenic helicopter flight deep into the remote reaches of Fiordland National Park.
Leave the familiar landscapes behind as you fly over dramatic alpine peaks, ancient glaciers and untouched wilderness before exploring the extraordinary beauty of Doubtful and Dusky Sounds from above.
Few visitors ever have the opportunity to see these remote parts of Fiordland from the air. Your scenic flight offers a perspective that simply cannot be experienced from the road or water.
Your experience includes a scenic landing, where you’ll have time to take in your surroundings and enjoy a delicious gourmet charcuterie board before continuing your journey through the wilderness.
After three days of exploring Fiordland by land, sea and sky, return to your retreat for a final evening of relaxation.
Optional add-on evening activity: As darkness falls, finish your adventure beneath one of the world’s darkest skies with a small-group guided stargazing experience. Discover the constellations, planets and deep-sky objects visible above Fiordland with an experienced local guide.
Your Stay at Fiordland Eco-Retreat
Throughout your adventure, you’ll stay at Fiordland Eco-Retreat, where luxury, privacy and sustainability come together.
After each day’s adventures, return to your peaceful retreat overlooking Fiordland. Soak in your private cedar hot tub, take in the uninterrupted mountain views and slow down after a day spent exploring the wilderness.
When darkness falls, look up and experience some of New Zealand’s finest night skies from the comfort of your accommodation.
You’ll also have access to our shared wood-fired sauna. Your package includes our sauna lighting service (subject to our availability), so you’ll be able to choose when you’d like to use the sauna and we’ll reserve it for you at that time, light and tend the fire beforehand, and ensure it is hot and ready for you when you’re ready to relax.
Please note: The sauna is located beside the Eco-Villa, approximately a 5-minute uphill walk or short drive from the Guest Suite.
